DAY 2 — DÜRRËS & GJIROKASTËR 🏛️

After breakfast, begin your journey from Tirana towards southern Albania, with a fascinating stop in the ancient coastal city of Durrës.

With more than 3,000 years of history, Durrës is one of Albania’s most important historic cities.

Enjoy a guided walking tour through the historic centre, discovering the impressive Byzantine walls and the magnificent Roman Amphitheatre — one of the most remarkable ancient monuments in Albania.

After our Durrës experience, continue towards the spectacular Gjirokastër, the famous Stone City of Albania and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Walk through its atmospheric stone streets and discover the authentic Ottoman architecture that makes Gjirokastër one of the most unique cities in the Balkans.

Visit the historic Skenduli House and Zekate House, two beautiful examples of traditional Gjirokastër architecture, and enjoy time to explore the old bazaar and take in the incredible mountain views.
